Using Samsung's "Quiet" mode setting, the performance dropped by around 15 percent according to Cinebench. In the Cinebench 15 endurance test, the integrated i5-1335U performed consistently over time but dropped slightly again towards the end. The gap to the Galaxy Book3 Pro with its i5-1340P sits at an average of 10 to 20 percent. Nevertheless, it does enough to warrant being ahead of the Acer Swift X SFX16 and also the LG Gram 15Z90Q whose i5-1240P processor offers more cores but is tuned rather conservatively due to the battery life. However, last year we reviewed the predecessor with its more powerful i7-1260P. In our benchmarks, it had to narrowly admit defeat to the Galaxy Book2. Samsung doesn't fully take advantage of the processor's potential. The P-core's clock speed sits between 1.3 to 4.6 GHz and the E-cores at 0.9 to 3.4 GHz, making it around 200 and 100 MHz faster than the i5-1235U from the previous Intel generation, respectively. It is designed for mid-range laptops and supports 12 threads thanks to the hyper-threading of the P-cores. The chip used here has two performance cores and eight efficiency cores.

In addition to the 16-inch Galaxy Book3 Pro with an Intel Core i5-1340P and last year's Galaxy Book2 with an Intel Core i7-1260P, the 15.6-inch Huawei MateBook D 15 (2022) and LG Gram 15 (2022) are equipped with the same iGPU. So far, we haven't reviewed any other laptops with the Intel Core i5-1335U making a direct comparison somewhat futile. The new Intel processor is also celebrating its premiere in the Galaxy Book3. The device is equipped with the Intel Core i5-1335U as well as the Iris Xe Graphics iGPU, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Before us, we have the mid-spec variant of the 15.6-inch laptop with the NP750XFG-KA7DE configuration.
In our review, the entry-level Galaxy's job is to prove how well it can fare compared to the sister models. Once again this year and in addition to the flagship Galaxy Book3 Ultra (normally around $2500 on Amazon) and the already reviewed Galaxy Book3 Pro (from around $1300 on Amazon), the range is rounded off by the vanilla model Galaxy Book3 for around $999.
